While Smart Time Flow does not directly collect, store, or transmit your personally identifiable information (PII)—such as names, emails, or phone numbers—to internal company servers, the App integrates third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to provide core analytics, stability testing, and targeted advertising mediation.

A. Diagnostic & Usage Analytics (Google Firebase)

To understand app performance and monitor your user experience, we utilize Google Firebase. The specific services implemented include:

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized stack traces, crash logs, and device state information (e.g., OS version, device model, and battery levels at the time of an error) to troubleshoot bugs.

  • Firebase Analytics: Tracks general aggregate behavioral events, including focus session completions, feature engagement (e.g., using the Productivity Lab metrics), and screen navigation paths. This data helps us optimize future updates.

B. Advertising and Mediation Platforms

The App serves advertisements through Google AdMob as the primary mediator. To provide relevant ad inventory and monetize the service, the mediation network dynamically loads code from third-party networks, including AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, and ironSource.

These platforms automatically collect and process device-level identifiers to optimize campaign personalization and frequency capping. The data processed includes:

  • Mobile Advertising IDs: Google Advertising ID (AAID) or other platform-specific device identifiers.

  • Network & Telemetry Data: IP addresses, mobile carrier details, network connectivity states, and device language settings.

  • Ad Interaction Logs: Records of views, clicks, and impressions of banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad units within the App.

2. Device Permissions & Core Functions

To ensure accurate background operations and gamified features, the App requests specific hardware and system access flags:

  • Notifications (Android 13+): Used to deliver push alerts when focus timers, short breaks, or long breaks complete.

  • Exact Alarms (Android 12+): Required to bypass aggressive OS battery optimizations, ensuring your focus timer alerts sound precisely on time.

  • Network Access: Required by Firebase analytics engines and ad mediation networks to fetch assets and stream telemetry safely.

  • Local Storage (SharedPreferences): Stores configurations, task lists, themes, streak history, and Productivity Lab records locally on your device. We cannot view or copy this offline local storage.

Managing Ad Personalization

You can disable targeted advertising tracking across all mediation networks directly through your device settings:

  • On Android devices, navigate to Settings > Google > Ads and toggle on "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or select "Delete advertising ID."

4. Children’s Privacy Enforcement

Smart Time Flow operates as a general audience application. We do not knowingly target or gather personal data from children under the age of 13. To ensure total regulatory compliance, all ad requests processed through our mediation layer utilize standard child-directed flags to restrict personal tracking under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K).
